Psychoanalytic.Solutions provides a consultation that applies psychoanalytic thinking to personal business and its organizations, for tech entrepreneurs, founders, engineers and anyone else for whom the personal is intertwined with the professional.

 Adapting my European training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy to a tech business clientele and lexicon, I expanded my private practice into one that can address todays issues of identification for startups. How does one promote an idea that is so new that it is difficult, if not impossible to pin down in ordinary language? Psychoanalytic thinking has always concerned itself with isolating language down to its root components, and it is precisely the lack of concrete meaning in todays world that makes it so hard to convey what a startup is doing succinctly. I find that psychoanalytic thinking, which runs counter to common wisdom, is a perfect analogue to to the issues our contemporary economy faces and that present themselves as symptoms for todays tech workers. 

Engineers and developers, like artists, often have a difficult time putting together their thoughts into concise, business friendly language. For Psychoanalytic.Solutions, this is not to be looked at as a disability, but an asset - after all, it is precisely that they think in non-linguistic languages that makes them so valuable. I utilize psychoanalytic technique and skills honed from the study of Anglo-American analytic philosophy to work between companies and individuals to bring about understanding and, when possible, a new synthesis taking the best from both worlds, from seemingly incompatible ideas.

What we specialize in at psychoanalytic.solutions is the making of connections between two things that are far from obvious. Thats what psychoanalysis does, and we are simply continuing the tradition, albeit adapted to the world we live in currently.

I employ alternative techniques that privilege the subjectivity of the individual in relation to the company and larger market that he or she works. Starting from the surface level, the symptoms, I work to get to the root of the problem, which is typically something that was rather complex, but boiled down to its essentials becomes crystal-clear. Utilizing unique, creative communication methods, I work from the singular to the universal, bringing about the realization that aspects of the life of a company are tied to its smallest, and sometimes private details.

 Once made cognizant, it becomes clear that businesses symptoms are intertwined with the individual's home life and identity, and thus, the company itself. From there, old dilemmas unravel into new solutions for both the individual client and the company at large, one in the same.
